for everyone who has been through that relationship, we all understand exactly how we feel and how we try to get used to.
it's confusing feeling of giving up or keeping on.
this is the true story of directer who has been through the relationship like that.
it's a beautiful movie even they used cheap camera, i love how the director filmed it through the summer they spent together when she decided to come back after summer just to be with him.
the music is also great and sad, very suitable for the atmosphere.
things i hate in this movie is her British workplace, it's unclear design.
the frame of 2 of them sat on the window with the sea full of boat background impressed me so much.
the color tone of this movie is also smooth enough, and it's exactly the feeling of broken heart.
I'd been through that kind of relationship which is far enough to be broken.and this is exactly how i feel when i was in it.sometime we just keep the feeling of the past for being together but we just lie to ourselves that everything's just the same.
lie that all the memories can fill all the blank space in our relationship.
because all we scare is lose the things we cant get back
normally people can't accept that. but 2 young people did( in the movie). i surprised when they can give up on their current relationship to get back with each other, even it's not last, even it's just to find out the memories which they had.
i dont think they will be last, they will break up later after the flashback under shower.
and because based on the true story,i google to make sure they broken up later (little crazy).
when we're mean to be, however it is, we will find the ways back to each other. and if that person can not be replaced, we will wait until we can have them. whenever we fall for another one, everything we've had with that person just the beautiful memories we can't forget. we scare that one day, we can't remember all the good things we've ever had in our lives. that's the day another person can replace that space in our hearts.
sometime, we should let things go to live true with the present. that things,that memories have been gone.
there's something we cant forget but we cant get it back. it will never ever be same as it used to be.
Something exactly same as real life:
--The main characters spend time on Catalina Island together in the film. The destination was the real-life refuge they used to escape their parents.
--Pappenscheller still owns a silver bracelet engraved with the word “patience” that she says was given to her by Doremus on Catalina Island, just like the one depicted in the film.
--The short, white wedding dress worn by Felicity Jones’ character, Anna, is very similar to the one worn by Pappenscheller for her wedding with Doremus.
